After withstanding an early onslaught Cardiff got through to half time with the scores level but a shambolic second half saw the team battered by Sheffiekd Wednesday who won't have had an easier game all season.
It was a choke up there with the best of them.
To be fair I think a top 8 finish (city are not guaranteed of 7th yet) is a decent effort from Russell Slade but it's an over achievement and if we have any ambition we should start next season with a new manager.
But that's no excuse for today's no show in front of a bunch of fans who deserved to see a better effort from some very average footballers today.
Now we have a dead rubber against Birmingham next Saturday before Vincent needs to show his hand and inform the fans of his ambition. If we want more mediocrity keep Slade, if we want to challenge and become a proper promotion chasing team then thank him, send him on his way and get in a manager who can produce a team which can win things rather than the shambles we saw today.
