Wales' game in Dublin on February 8th comes just 48 hours after the South Wales derby.
The Welsh strating line up could be influenced by the derby match with Ashley Williams, Aaron Ramsey and possibly Darcy Blake (who is on stand by) all unlikely to play two full games in three days.
Former City defender and currently linked player Danny Gabbidon has been recalled by Gary Speed. Other former Bluebirds like Rob Earnshaw, Chris Gunter, Joe Ledley and James Collins also named in squad.
Bellamy is likely to play Cardiff's three opening games in February and possibly five games from the seven being played. If any are missed they could be the midweek home games with Burnley and Leicester.
