Last night's defeat at Carrow Rd was City's second away defeat in a row and what's harder to swallow was the second away defeat in a row to a team in the bottom 3.
We are away again on Sunday at Bristol City who are top 7, just 2 points behind us. What better incentive for them, on live television, to jump above us into the play off places. Cardiff City need to pull their socks up and not make it three away defeats in a row.
Again though other results were favourable. Wolves only drew, Birmingham only drew, Reading only drew, Sheff Utd only drew, Preston only drew. We were the only top 6 team to lose but none of the others won.
The league is crying out for a team to grasp the nettle and stamp their authority on it but none of the top sides are doing it. We have to look over our shoulder though at Swansea and Bristol City who are closing in on the play off places. Both sides won last night to keep the pressure on.
While we may have games in hand we don't want to have to rely on them. Points on the board we need. If there's something to look forward to it's our home form. After the Bristol game on Sunday we have four in a row at Ninian Park. The first of those next Wednesday against Watford.
Beat Bristol and Beat Watford and we will have pulled in 12 points from 6 games. That form will get us into the play offs no problem. Sunday's game is crucial.
Oh just one last thing. We haven't won a televised game all season!
