Bad luck for Bonner

The midfielder was hoping to get the all clear to catch up with the rest of the squad in Scotland but sources close to Bonner have said that surgery is the only option.

He will definately miss the start of the season and could be out for a few months.

Bonner's injury I think will have helped make up Lennies mind for his starting line up. It seems certain now that Gareth Whalley, Willie Boland and Graham Kavanagh will be the midfield three if Lennie goes 4 - 3 - 3 or more unlikely uses wingbacks.
