Cardiff City's U18's face Arsenal tonight at the Emirates Stadium.

The winners will face either Man Utd or Birmingham City in the semi final.

City coach Geraint Twose told the official website www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk

"The lads are really looking forward to it and they are very much up for the challenge".

Speaking ahead of tonight's game Arsenal coach Steve Bold told The FA

"It is a big game for the lads, especially being their first time at the Emirates. I am hoping the lads don't freeze on the night and the pitch helps the lads play football.

"The pitch at Barnet, where we usually play, isn't bad. But we want the lads to play a passing game and hopefully the pitch at the Emirates will lend itself to that.

"The whole point of the Youth Cup is about giving the players their first taste of the big game atmosphere and it is a big learning curve for them.

"We always talk about the games being about development, and that is important, but everybody wants to win the Youth Cup."

"I have been to see Cardiff play and they are a proper team. They are all local Welsh lads who stick together and it will not be an easy game for us.

"When I played for Arsenal every team raised their game against us and made it difficult. I am expecting the same from them."

Dave Jone said on the weekend that he was going to pull Chris Gunter from the youth team squad for tonight's agme as he was required for the first team against W.B.A. tomorrow. Gunter played the whole second half in the victory over Leeds on Saturday.

Good luck to the lads tonight.
