Alexander set to sign new deal

There's been no official confirmation at the moment but it seems any issues have been resoloved and Neil Alexander will remain a Cardiff City payer.

His existing contract was up in the summer but the new deal thought to involve a decent pay increase will see him through to 2009.

Alexander will be challenged by the No.1 spot by new signing David Forde. It seems likely that City's other keeper, Mark Howard, will leave the club this month.
