Alan Cork is back in football management, this time as number 2 to Micky Adams at Leicester City. Cork parted company with Cardiff City in February of this year after a catastrophic 4-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic.
Sam hammam was delighted to hear that Cork was back in management. He told the Echo
"I saw Corky a couple of days ago and spoke to him again yesterday.
"I am delighted that is back in football-and joining what I consider to be a good club. And he is there with a friend of his, Micky Adams. They got on exceptionally well together.
"Another close friend, Dave Bassett, is director of football and he will truly provide excellent guidance to both Micky Adams and Alan Cork.
"It is great to know that Corky is back in familiar and good territory.
"It is also of major importance that he will be close to his father, who lives in Derby. He is ailing, not well at all, and I know Corky has been concerned.
"Now he will be able to live close to his father and that will be a special thing.
"On the football front, Alan Cork could have a big future in football management and his experience at Cardiff City will, I believe, have done him the world of good."
Leicester are will be looking to get back into the Premiership after their relegation last season. Good luck Corky.
