5 players on international duty this week

Neil Alexander will be hoping to move up to at least a place on the bench when Scotland entertain Canada in a friendly in Edinburgh on Tuesday night. Berti Vogts will make several outfield changes after 4 players were injured in Iceland. Vogts comments in the Scottish press give the impression he wanted to field his strongest team and only enforced changes are likely. Alexander may have to wait a bit longer for his chance. The Scots will play another friendly on November 20th away in Portugal. City have no midweek game planned for that week.

James Collins is likely to see action. The City defender (not a striker Alan Cork) is set to make his Wales U21 debut on his home pitch. Wales U21 take on Italy at Ninian Park, ko 7:45pm on Tuesday night with admission only £2 for adults and £1 for concessions.

Daniel Gabbidon will hope to start against the Italians in the big one on Wednesday night. Wales play Italy at a sell out Millennium Stadium, 72,000 tickets sold for what should be an amazing occasion. Gabbidon must keep the fit again Robert Page out of the team. Gabbidon has done nothing to warrant being dropped but would Hughes favour Page's experience? Robert Earnshaw (right) will be on the bench as Wales are likely to continue with Giggs, Hartson and Bellamy the main striking options. With Earnie in such good form though a run at the Italians for the last 20 mins could be on the cards. Rhys Weston should also be a substitute and will be hoping for a chance as well.

Good luck to all the players.
