1st match in the big league for Saturday's ref

It's the first time Marriner has referee'd a 1st division game. He's new to the FL list of refs and only started controlling league games this season. Last year he was doing conference games.

In his 15 games this season (1 FA Cup, 1 LDV and 13 divison 2/3 games) he's issued 44 yellow cards and 6 red.

The assistants are Ian Harris from Cornwall and Mike Mullarky of Devon.
